GASTON.
Gaston completed his Master's of Architecture degree at the University of Washington after receiving his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Sustainable Building Science Technology at South Seattle College, his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with minors in Art History and French from the University of Montana, and his Associate of Arts degree from Seattle Central College. His combination of creative degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts paired with his degree in Applied Science and an employment history of working in the fields of construction and building maintenance, all focus an emphasis into the Architectural realm and sustainability. This gives him a holistic approach to design that enables him to quickly comprehend and efficiently collaborate with other professionals. At the University of Montana, he coupled his studies with studying abroad for a year in Rennes, France where he immersed himself in the study of blending an aging infrastructure with new technology and design in a compact urban setting and at the University of Washington, he spent a summer quarter studying in Québec on the topic of urban design dealing with blending historic city planning with forward-thinking to the future while meeting with leading design professionals and government officials. These international study experiences, paired with numerous opportunities to travel throughout America and Europe from an early age, has allowed him to learn about a wide array of different cultures and their arts. This has provided him with an assortment of design concepts and solutions to tackle a wide variety of design problems from many angles while being culturally conscious and simultaneously forward-thinking to the future.
He is fluent in Microsoft, Adobe, Revit, Rhino 3D, Sketchup, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and CAD programs in both Windows and Mac operating systems while also being well versed in building inspections, maintenance, and repairs in a blending of digital skills with hands-on knowledge and experience
